The Heart of Wine Country
Welcome to Canadian Paradise. The Okanagan Valley is located in the beautiful Southern interior of British Columbia. It enjoys mild climate with little precipitation. Warm summers and mild winters makes it an ideal place to be.
The Okanagan is world-famous for its vast array of wineries that dot the rolling hills, that define the region. However, that is just one dimension to the prolific region. Penticton is nestled between two scenic lakes with sandy beaches. Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake offer a myriad of summertime activities to cool you down while you relax.
If you are interested in outdoor activities, the Okanagan is the place to be, from swimming or boating in one of the lakes to skiing on Apex Mountain. You can bike along the Kettle Valley Rail Trail or float lazily down the Channel. Penticton is host to the Challenge Triathlon, UltraMan and Gran Fondo every summer. If that is not your speed, the city’s large outdoor community market is the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning.
After that, you can take in the view while enjoying a glass of wine on one of the patios at one of the numerous wineries. There is a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and clubs that are sure to entertain you and offer tantalizing food fare.
There are plenty of family-friendly attractions from Loco Landing to the Kettle Valley Railway. There is always something going on like the Penticton Peach Festival, the Elvis Festival or the car show. What will you experience today?
